| Abstract: | Haematopota stonei sp. n. is described from adult females taken at Chitawan, Nepal, in March 1974. The tabanid was abundant in the hot season, biting elephants and annoying man. A modification to a key to the Oriental species of Haematopotini that was presented by A. Stone & C.B. Philip [see RAE/B 63, 3478] is given. |
