| Abstract: | A review of the literature indicated that 13 species of Tabanus and 9 of Haematopota have hitherto been recorded from Meghalaya, India. In this paper, T. meghalayensis sp. n., T. miniatus sp. n. and H. nigrifrons sp. n. are described and illustrated from females collected from the Garo Hills, Meghalaya, in 1973. Notes are also given on 3 other species of Tabanus collected in the state. |
