Abstract:

Marked female tabanids released in a Louisiana bottomland hardwood forest in June and July in 1972 and 1973 were recaptured up to 6.8 km from release points. Calculations performed to correct for lower trapping intensities at greater distances from marking stations indicated a fairly uniform distribution of marked females from 0.8 to at least 6.8 km from release points.
