| Abstract: | The larvae and pupae of Chrysops sequax Will., Hybomitra cincta (F.), H. longiglossa (Philip), H. microcephala (O.-S.), H. daeckei (Hine), Tabanus novaescotiae Macq., R. colon Thnb. and T. wiedemanni O.-S. from eastern north America are described, and a key is given for the identification of 9 of the 10 species of Tabanus currently known to possess a stigmatal spine. |
