| Abstract: | Four new species of the subgenus Mimotabanus of the genus Philipotabanus are described from Colombia and Peru. The new species are figured and a key is provided for the 8 known species of the subgenus. P. annectans sp.n. and P. porteri sp.n., which are described from the females, were collected while biting mules and horses in Colombia. |
