| Abstract: | The larvae and pupae of Tabanus fusconervosus Macq., T. fuscicostatus Hine, T. fulvulus Wied., T. pallidescens Philip, and T. wilsoni Pechuman are described and illustrated for the first time. All examples were collected in terrestrial habitats in Louisiana. Morphological similarities and ecological observations provide further evidence for the close relationship of the last 3 species. |
