| Abstract: | The mechanical transmission of nagana trypanosome is reviewed in relation to the presence of Trypanosoma vivax in countries outside Africa where tsetse are unknown. It is concluded that cyclical transmission in a vector other than tsetse must remain a possibility in these locations. |
