| Abstract: | Objective To study the species distribution on mosquitoes, midges and horseflies of important blood-sucking diptera insect in Heilongjiang river valley. Methods Using human-baited net Trap, light trap, animal-baited trap and insect net to collect blood-sucking insect. Results 174 842 blood-sucking diptera insects belonging to 3 family, 9 genera and 84 species were recorded from 5 counties and cities of Heilongjiang river valley; of which 27 species and 3 genera of family Culicidae, 22 species and a genus of family Ceratopogonidae, 35 species and 5 genera of family Tabanidae were noted. 75 species were distributed in Daxinganling subterritory (2 counties); mosquitoes 25 species, midges 19 species, and horseflies 31 species were recorded. 72 species were distributed in Changbaishan subterritory (3 counties); mosquitoes 21 species, midges 21 species, horseflies 32 species were noted. Conclusion This study provides the base for faunal distribution of mosquitoes, midges and horseflies in Heilongjiang river valley. |
