Abstract:

Records of 23 species of horse flies (Diptera, Tabanidae) are presented for the county of East Tyrol and of 12 species for the province of Carinthia. Hitherto only 9 species were known from East Tyrol. The most important findings are: Hybomitra nigricornis (ZETTERSTEDT, 1842), Atylotus plebejus (FALLEN, 1817), and Glaucops hirsutus (VILLERS, 1789).
