Abstract:

Tabanus centroafricanus sp. nov., T. cuisancei sp. nov., T. pseudothoracinus sp. nov., Haematopota amicoi sp. nov. and H. touratieri sp. nov. are described as new. Haematopota denshamii and H. ochracea are reported for the 1st time from the Central African Republic. Other species collected were T. coniformis, T. par, T. pluto, T. thoracinus, Hippocentrum strigipenne and H. versicolor. Notes on ecology are given. A list of the 70 species of Tabanidae known from the Central African Republic is presented.
