| Abstract: | The Kurgal’skii Peninsula fauna of the blood-sucking dipterans comprises 73 species; of these, 34 species belong to mosquitoes (Culicidae), 18, to black flies (Simuliidae), 5, to biting midges (Ceratopogonidae, genus Culicoides), and 16 species, to the horse flies (Tabanidae). Nine species of the gnus complex found in the Kurgal’skii Peninsula are new to Leningrad Province, 6 of them are also recorded for the first time for the neighbouring territories of Estonia and southern Finland. |
