Abstract:

Surveys of Tabanus in Thailand were carried out in 1975 and 1978. After examination and identification in detail, twenty species were identified. It is concluded that the physiography, agricultural pattern are such that the Thai Tabanus species are concentrated in the north and northeastern parts of Thailand. As a whole, it appears that only Tabanus belonging to the tribe Tabanini are of medical and veterinary importance in Thailand. Type
