| Abstract: | Haematopota linaresae sp. nov. is described from 16 female (including the holotype) and 3 male specimens caught at Lamto, Ivory Coast, in August 1979. It is most similar to H. copemanii and H. newtoni but differs in the appearance of antennae, wings and frontal band. A key to the species of the denshamii group of Haematopota from the Afrotropical region is given. |
