| Abstract: | A general review is given of the Diptera associated with horses. The biology, veterinary importance and control of Tabanidae, Simuliidae, Ceratopogonidae, Culicidae, Muscidae and myiasis-producing Diptera (Cochliomyia, Hypoderma and Gasterophilus) are discussed, as is the treatment of skin diseases caused by the nematodes Habronema, Draschia and Onchocerca cervicalis. |
