| Abstract: | Based on examination of C. flavocinctus and its relatives and morphological variation within and between species, 3 taxa are recognized in the flavocinctus group: C. dubiens from the Ghats of southern India and from Sri Lanka; C. flavocinctus, a montane species widespread in the Oriental Region, from India east to Vietnam and south to Malaysia and the mountains of Sabah in North Borneo; and a new species, C. philipi sp. nov., herein described, from lowland areas of Sarawak. C. alter remains unrecognized, but probably is related to C. flavocinctus. Analysis of morphological variation is given for all taxa treated here and a key to the adults is provided. |
