| Abstract: | The male genitalia of the lower Brachycera, which includes families of agricultural, medical and veterinary importance (notably Rhagionidae, Tabanidae, Scathophagidae and Xylophagidae), are described and keys provided for their identification. A total of 37 species belonging to 33 genera and 11 families is dealt with. |
