Five new species of Diachlorus (Diptera: Tabanidae) from South America with a revised key to species and new locality records.

Abstract:

A revised key to females of the species of the tabanid genus Diachlorus is presented and 5 species are described as new, the hitherto unknown males of 2 further species are described for the 1st time and 1 species is reduced to a subspecies. New distribution records are given for 6 species, including D. curvipes (F.) in Bolivia and D. podagricus (F.) in Brazil.
