| Abstract: | Hybomitra enigmatica sp.n., previously confused with H. sonomensis (O.-S.), is described in the larval, pupal and adult stages and compared with the latter species and H. phaenops (O.-S.). H. philipi Stone is synonymised with H. sonomensis. The distribution of these species in western North America is given. |
