| Abstract: | A test was conducted in central Texas to measure the effectiveness of ear tags impregnated with tetrachlorvinphos (stirofos) against Haematobia irritans (L.) and Tabanus spp. on cattle. The impregnated ear tags gave excellent control of H. irritans but did not control Tabanus spp. The control of H. irritans by this method did not appear to affect weight gain in the cattle. |
