Abstract:

In a test of 2 insecticides that have been used for mosquito control in Louisiana, an ultra-low-volume spray application of 95% malathion at 0.5 oz toxicant/ha caused only poor mortality of field-collected adults of Tabanus nigrovittatus Macq. confined in field cages; 10% naled at 0.13 oz toxicant/ha was highly effective.
