Abstract:

Forty-three species of tabanids in 5 genera are recorded from New Brunswick from investigations, mainly with traps baited with dry ice, in 1974-77. Notes are provided on their distribution, time of appearance and relative abundance, and many species are reported attacking man. Modifications are given to keys for species of Chrysops, Tabanus and Hybomitra that were provided by D.J. Lewis & G.F. Bennett [see RAE/B 66, 358.
